Loretta Lynn

Loretta Lynn (born Loretta Webb April 14, 1932), is an American country music singer-songwriter and author. Born in Butcher Hollow, near Paintsville, Kentucky, to a coal miner father, she married at 15 years old, was a mother soon after, and moved to Washington with her husband, Oliver Vanetta Lynn, Jr. (1926–1996), nicknamed "Doo". Their marriage was sometimes tumultuous; he had affairs and she was headstrong, and their life together helped inspire her music.
